I am a tween and this was super boring. Nothing was dramatic at all. 1 star is too much credit for this book. Dont waste your money. At least try a sample before buying because i dont want people making the mistake of spending money on this book. I like this book overall. It shows readers that they can love themselves, no matter the circumstance. But I feel like the Natalie-Derek split could have been developed more. All he did was say he want to be friends, I feel like more could be added to it. As well as the fight between Zoe and Natalie. During it, they only had one run-in with each other, which lasted bascally 3 seconds. I feel like more run ins and fights could have made Zoe's and Natalie's character arc more developed, making the resolution stronger. The song dedication aslo could have developed more, cause no one reacted to it except Natalie. Not even Derek. Finally, I feel like Flo could have played a bigger role in the fight. She just watched, and really didnt help resolve the fight. But overall, this is a good book. Totally appropriate, and would reccomend it for ages 6 and up.
