I would have said before this that while I LOVE the fake boyfriend trope, it’s also been pretty used up. Nothing really exciting ever happens in the trope from book to book, author to author.But this was a f r e s h take on fake boyfriend and I LOOOOVED it.Lindsey writes these wonderfully complex, yet easy to love characters that draw you in each time and I was not disappointed with this purchase.I would however be remiss to just not comment on the continuity error that happens towards the beginning of the wedding week. With any other author, this might have annoyed me enough to stop reading. Because I know and love all the other books written by Lindsey, I kept reading. And it was WORTH IT, but the error was still annoying.Editing saves lives, friends.Also, I would have to say that I’m pretty over the end of plot point where things get messy and the two lovers part ways only to come back to each other. I would have LOVED Julian to react differently to the news that Archer had lied. It’s a dumb lie! He could have laughed hysterically at the news and MOVED ON. Our big conflict could have been that he didn’t want to move to Paris, or...literally anything else. It was a frustrating point for me in an otherwise wonderful experience. This writer has quickly become one of my one-click-purchase/ pre-order authors and The Edge of Heaven was a topper.Under normal circumstances Julian and Archer were unlikely to ever have met, so thank goodness for wrong numbers. Both a bit nerdy, dedicated to their professions, these two are so likeable.This book and the bonus epilogue really left me feeling happy, warm and fuzzy with its romance and hopeful we will see some of the secondary characters getting their own HEA at some stage...
